HO! HO! HO!

Well, with Christmas so near Santa’s workshop at the North Pole is a frenzy of activity. The Elves are working like crazy to get everything in readiness for the yearly trip. The sleigh is all polished and the reindeer are being fed their special diet that maintains their stamina during the long flight.

Santa? Oh, he’s as large as ever. Mrs. Claus has been doing her usual fine job of pouring the food to him and keeping him jolly. She says it’s more difficult these days since they have taken all the fat out of food.

Santa says that all will be ready for his yearly visit and because of the extreme variations in the global weather these days he will have Rudolph as lead reindeer this year. So, on that special night, if you hear sleigh bells and dare to peek you may see the soft light from Rudolph’s nose as he flies near your window.

Merry Christmas from all of us at Tahoe Management.

We are in the midst of a major snowstorm. Since yesterday we have had 12+ inches and it’s still falling. There are at least two more systems due later in the week.

Once these storms are through, all the ski slopes should be able to operate at full capacity. Additionally all other winter activities should be available. These include snowmobiling, sledding, cross country skiing, and snowshoeing.

Now folks, this is a super neat place to visit. It is perfect for people who love the mountains. Just consider…sitting in a pool filled with 102-105 degree water from 5 natural hot springs. Add to that it’s all outdoors so while you soak you are surrounded by the beauty of 10,000 foot mountains and pine forests. Talk about an experience!

Grover Hot Springs, a part of the California State Park system, is open all year. In fact, if you’re sitting in that hot spring water during mid-winter and the snow begins falling the effect is something you’ll not soon forget.

It only takes about 30-45 minutes to drive there from South Lake Tahoe. For more information check their website link below.

Hi folks. It’s shaping up to be a beautiful Thanksgiving Day. The temperature is predicted to be about 50 degrees with sunny skies here on the south shore. Although there is a slight possibility of a few snow showers on Friday there is no reason to be concerned.

Because there is minimal snow on the ground at lake level some of the winter activities are not yet in operation. However, there are always interesting and fun things to do when you’re at Tahoe.

Most of the eateries will have some kind of Thanksgiving feast available and if you want to do some skiing Heavenly is open with somewhat limited terrain. Access is via the Gondola.

We wish you a great Thanksgiving. Come on up and have some fun.

Here at the TahoeVacations.com office it appears we have gotten about 3 inches of the white stuff so far.

This will give us plenty of snow for skiiers and sledders. The long range forecast calls for sunny skies and 51 degrees on Thanksgiving Day.
